The publication analyses one of the most important structural changes in Hungarian justice: the limited system of precedent that entered into force in 2020. The new rules fundamentally reshape litigation strategy: published decisions of the Curia now provide binding guidance for lower courts, significantly increasing the predictability of the application of the law and legal certainty. The piece shows that modern litigation now requires the precise identification of relevant Curia decisions and their incorporation into argument, because that knowledge makes it possible to forecast the outcome more accurately and to persuade the courts more effectively.
